“So cozy! We held a birthday party there and the kids had so much fun! I highly recommend The Children’s Workshop. Also at pumpkin walk they were selling the most delicious quiche and baked goods. We went back twice to get more that night!”
“We love the old timey feel and fun at the Children's Workshop. There are great crafts to do at great prices. It's worth spending some time with the kids there on your trip to Nauvoo.”
“Wonderful for a very active group of 9 young girls and 2 adults! One hour packed with learning some French, watching a video of a former Nauvoo pioneer, each girl making her own beeswax candle, plus refreshments! Great time for all!!“
“Our children had a delightful time in the Children’s Workshop of Nauvoo playing & crafting. Stephanie was so sweet, kind and helpful .
I definitely recommend this experience to any with children. Ours were age 11 - 20 months“
“We took our 4 kids ages 1-8 here and had a great time. The older kids rolled beeswax candles and wrote with quill pens with the help of the owner, Stephanie. The younger ones played with play dishes and other toys. The workshop was cozy and calm and sweet. It felt like a relaxing playdate with old fashioned crafts for the older kids.“
“This little workshop is like ahidden treasure in Nauvoo. This is only their 3rd year and it is so much fun for kids AND adults! I took my 7 grandkids there today and we were there for 3 hours! The kids just wandered around the shop playing with all kinds of things from drawing quill and ink pictures at little school desks to making arrows, dream catchers, painting on canvas, building with blocks, and just using their imaginations with all the toys and different settings that Stephanie (the owner) has spread around. Lots of old-fashioned things to see and play with, AND they are welcome to touch EVERYTHING!! It's so warm and cozy and welcoming, and affordable! You pay $5.00 for a project that you choose to make and take home, $8.00 for a project and playing with everything for a while. There's even a fuse-ball table. And a cute little gift shop area. Stephanie is from France and there are some French goodies in the gift shop and some French items around the workshop to learn from. There's way more than I even mentioned, but the kids LOVED it! And I could relax and enjoy myself, too! It's right on Mulholland, kind of across from The White House Inn. Youreally have to check it out!!“
“I took my grand kids there today and had a blast! Lots of activities for the kids to choose from to do that are totally hands on and fun. The kids were so concentrated on making their crafts and projects. I wanted to do thecandle-making! I'll have to go back for ME next time! Theowner, Stephanie Shaw, is super friendly and warm and welcoming. There are too many things to do to even mention. Can't wait to take them back again! For all ages.“
